Solid is the eco and user-friendly coating range for wooden floors. Solid coatings have water-based formulas in respect of humans and nature. The user and those, who live inside spaces treated with them, can take advantage of that. The green technology of Solid range is inspired by the project Rennerlab – Eco-Friendly. This project aims at creating a healthy environment for those, who choose the wood as building element of their spaces.

Renner Italia researchers talk and collaborate with the most important coating manufacturers and develop new products to satisfy the expectations of the customers.
UV+ PROTECTION
Solid coatings provide UV+ Protection, a special program for wooden floors of Renner Italia laboratories. The topcoats and the oils of Solid range are made of UV absorbers, that block the coating polymers preventing degradation and discoloration. Solid UV+ Protection absorbers disperse the light energy absorbed by UV rays in the form of heat through an intramolecular transfer process. This trick reduces the absorption of UV rays by the polymers which, therefore, remain stable in the time. The UV+ Protection program is particularly suitable for light woods, stressed by the sunlight.
HIGH TRAFFIC
Solid topcoats give their best on wooden floors stressed by high traffic. Catas (Italian institute for certification, research, and tests in the field of wood-furniture) tested that. Solid topcoats passed Taber test for wear resistance; therefore, they comply with UNI EN 15185:2011 standard.
MULTI
SPORT
Every indoor sport requires specific technical, functional, environmental, comfort and aesthetic requirements for the floors that let the performance run correctly. Solid coatings with this icon comply with UNI EN 14904 standard about multi-sport indoor surfaces. These coatings are suitable for the protection of wooden floors used as sport areas (wooden floors for basketball, volleyball, handball, etc.).
FORMALDEHYDE FREE
Under certain concentrations the formaldehyde may lead to irritation of the breathing system and the eyes, above all in subjects suffering from allergies and asthma. Formaldehyde is lethal, if ingested or breathed in considerable quantity. Since 2016 in UE countries the formaldehyde is classified as a substance that can cause cancer. Regardless of
the law, Solid has for a long time already eliminated the formaldehyde and its precursors from its coatings for wood floorings.
